Hilltop News and the Latest on the Police State
Wow, it seems like forever since I felt good enough to sit here and type anything. That bug we had held on forever and I was starting to think I’d be sick the rest of my life. Praise the Lord we are all on the mend, though we still have a bit of a cough.
We have started making a little syrup, just tapped a small number of trees this year and I’m hoping to make the 5 gallons or so we need for pancakes and pies. It is 12 this morning so I’m sure the sap left in the pails and in storage is froze pretty solid. As soon as it thaws out I’ve got to get back to boiling. I’m running low on firewood and this cold snap forced me out to the woods yesterday to cut up some tree tops. I’ll need to get a little more for sap boiling too. The boys have enjoyed boiling with me, we hooked the old blacksmith bellows up to draft on the evaporator and John and Noah take turns cranking it. She really boils then, I’ll tell you. Isaiah thought the whole process was loads of fun, he was singing a song about “making syrup for our pancakes” while we sat there watching it steam. We are starting to think about starting tomatoes and some other plants in the next few weeks. Our last frost date is June 1st, so we have to wait a little longer than most of you folks out there. Getting antsy to get gardening, I’ll tell you that. I’m so sick of winter and just want to start getting ready for the next one. Esther is growing like a weed, its a lot of fun having a little girl in the family. She is the happiest baby I’ve ever seen.
The wife of one of my Elders went to be with our Lord last week and he asked me to be a pallbearer at the funeral. It was a fine service for a fine saint and my Pastor gave an excellent sermon on the Resurrection that I’ve been thinking about ever since. Actually the last two Lord’s Days he’s also preached on the Resurrection out of 1 Corinthians chapter 15. We had a good chat after service last Lord’s Day about how the quasi-gnostic “spiritual Christianity” has robed the Church in America of so much. He mentioned in one sermon how our salvation is not complete in its fullest sense until the Resurrection of the dead. God made man to be both soul and body and the emphasis on only the spiritual side denies what God says in the creation account about man. Something to think about.
In other news you might have missed, Police State Amerika continues to march ahead. The MIAC document leaked by a Missouri State Trooper labels the following as terrorists…
Folks who voted for Ron Paul, Bob Bar or Chuck Baldwin or display their bumperstickers. And people who are concerned about the following..
The New World Order
The United Nations
Gun Control
The violation of Posse Comitatus
The Federal Reserve
The Income Tax
The Ammunition Accountability Act
A possible Constitutional Convention (Con Con)
The North American Union
Universal Service Program
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
Abortion on demand
Illegal Immigration
I suspect that a good number of my readers pass the “Are You A Terrorist Test”. We have reason to believe that this is not limited to Missouri as it was sent to them by the Feds.
This just in as well. The Feds have been using the Army to “watch” the End The Fed rallies. They really don’t want people finding out that the Federal Reserve is a private bank who prints money out of thin air and then loans it the US government. Its hard to keep up with all the news on this front, they seem to be making their moves rather quickly these days.

Scott, we are all glad to see that you and your family are getting back to normal. June 1st frost date! We groan at our mid April frost date. Though our winter was fairly mild this year, we too are hungry to see spring come, which it has with fits and spurts. The frogs are singing loudly and turtles are basking on logs, and we have had our first hatch of mosquitoes. We have had plenty of days in the 70’s the past few weeks, yet we are expecting freezing temperatures and possible snow by this weekend.
Perhaps, it’s the harsh dying winter of our nation that makes the meteorological one seem so hard. What bothers me is not so much the present economic turmoil, though we are facing decades of economic hardship, but the rapid decline of our culture into a humanist nightmare. I can’t say that we didn’t see it coming, as clear indications started several decades ago, and if one studies history in the light of the testimonies of Scripture, our nation has been in decline for many generations . . . only now the consequences have swept upon us as the whirlwind, and rightfully so, as the Lord would be remiss not to bring upon our heads the fruit of our ways. The good news is that the same testimonies also declare that the Lord is ever merciful to deliver His people from the cause of such national decline, their generational covenant breaking. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
Keep up the encouraging word brother.

I’m glad you all are up and about and getting better. I didn’t realize things were so bad.
But, things are looking up!
And, oh I’m so glad for spring! I hope you all continue to improve and get into the swing of things, again.
