Two Proud Country Boys
John and Noah decided to try trapping cottontails with a little live trap. They drug the trap away and came back and asked me for some bait. I gave them an apple and they disappeared again. They would disappear every morning to check the trap always disappointed, until one morning I could hear Johnny yelling YEEEEHAWWWWW! It weren’t a rabbit, but they were pretty happy to have caught something. That old possom was battle scared and mean. He must have been a real scrapper in his younger years.

Yum yum. Looks like some good ol’ Suthun cookin’ with that old possum. Hey, just leave him in the stew a little longer than usual and it will tender him up. Man, the only thing better than well cooked possum is a good young tender nutria! :o)
Tell the boys congrats from down south!

I remember when I was a kid the fur dealer used to sell coon carcasses to the black folks in the city. The rule was that you had to leave the feet on them. I asked why, and the guy said they were afraid he might try selling them cats! Those were the days
