Floyd, you are hitting it pretty close . . . "modern man really doesn't like the limits that reality imposes on him." More accurately, fallen man does like the bonds and cords of God's righteous law imposed upon him . . . Psalm 2.

Little John has a good plan.

Why don't I use real money? 'Cause I rarely get any!

Most people wouldn't like using real money because it has limits and can't be magically conjured up or imagined (the FED calls that monetizing debt). Modern man really doesn't like the limits that reality imposes upon him.

Hello Scott,

I just finished reviewing your blog site, very interesting.

I'd like to talk to you sometime about an overlooked "Alternative Currency" that is unavailable unless you are a covenant-keeping Christian living and working locally in covenant community. In many respects it is far more vital and important than "Liberty Dollars," for which you have a link. You may well already be aware of it, but haven't recognized it or the potential. The partners in Missouri Woods know what I'm talking about. Enough said for now, and thanks for the great conversation,

Thank God for little John, and his faithful dad, too! But it might not be as hopeless as you think. I overheard this conversation at work the other day.

1st fireman: What's the difference between computerized virtual reality and our economy?

2nd fireman: I don't know, what?

1st fireman: In a virtual reality, people KNOW IT ISN'T REAL.

My precious wife will be back next week from a 8 week mission to Peru where she cared for her ailing mother. It was the right thing to do, but very hard on both of us. I am looking forward to her return with great anticipation. I couldn't imagine how the Covenanters of Scotland survived the persecutions in their days when husbands were often put in prison for years.

Only when the funny money fails will Americans realize how duped they were, but it will be far too late then to do something constructive about it. History repeats itself because people hate the light of God's Word, which illuminates all things, including the gods of mammon they worship.

Sometimes I think it is good for married couples to be away from each other once in a while to realize just how good they have it. I spent a couple nights away just a couple months ago. Ron and I agreed that we realized how much we prefer to be together. :-D

As for Little John's theory, it has worked for me in the past... ;-)
