Hey Tom

Not a bad idea! I'll have to look into the market possibilities for "moose juice" :)

Hey Scott,

I remember a few years back in a Small Farmer's Journal they had an article about milking moose in Russia, complete with some photos! So if'n your gonna harness up a bull moose you might as well milk a few of the cows while your at it. Keep a few cows around the place and maybe that old bull will stay home :)

I thought you'd like it :) Moose are one of my favorite animals. I loved seeing them in Alaska. The picture was emailed to me with the following text.....

Only in Alaska....... This guy raised an abandoned
moose calf with his horses, and believe it or not, he has trained it for lumber
removal and other hauling tasks. Given the 2,000 pounds of robust muscle, and the
splayed, grippy hooves, he claims it is the best work animal he has. He says the
secret to keeping the moose around is a sweet salt lick, although during the rut he
disappears for a couple of weeks, but always comes home... impressive!

Scott, I love it! It could get real interesting, however, if one tried to work a team of two bulls, as the antlers might get a bit tangled and rutting season could make for a thrilling ride, perhaps leading one to sing the “Mooseskinner Blues.”
