I’m not going to freeze after all….

Well, its been a while since I’ve posted anything here and we’ve been pretty busy. This last week our area had “US Public Health” inspections for dairy farms. Its a real pain in the neck, waiting around for a federal buero-rat that might or might not show up and might or might not cause trouble. I’ve been trying to get some wood split and do some apples up as time permits. I have been planning all summer and and all fall to winterize the homeplace. Last year it was impossible to keep warm, the tiolet even froze solid and broke in two :) We needed new siding and insulation really bad. As always seems to happen around here, we ran into a few unexpected expenses on the farm and used all the money we would have used for siding and such. We were prepared to suffer through another miserable MT Hunger winter with wind blowing through the livingroom again. Then the strangest thing happened. A truck load of materials showed up at my house followed by an army of God’s saints. Independent Baptists, Reformed Presbyterians, freinds and neighbors, all brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ showed up and spent much time and energy tearing down and reconstructing. They replaced the siding, insulation, wraped it in ty-vek and gave me a brand new door! They insulated the underside and brought foam insutation boards to reinforce the skirting and stop the wind below the trailer too. They also brought a big stack of roofing supplies and tomorrow, Lord willin’, some boys are comming out to help me reroof old girl as well. It is humbling indeed to be the recepient of such love and fellowship. Praise the Lord, indeed! Many thanks to those who put this together and all those who worked so hard to help us out. I really don’t have the words to express my graditude to you all.

Scott, that is GREAT. God is so good to let brothers and sisters help one another. May he enrich you in the coming years with so much that you will be able to demonstrate your gratitude by helping others in their times of need! PTL.

Good things come to those who deserve them. Glad you are on the receiving end of that good deed.

Scott, I am greatly encouraged to hear that the icy cold fingers of winter have been driven out of your house by the loving hands of the church. May you and your family enjoy both the added warmth of your fortified abode and the warmth of the fellowship of the saints that help make it that way.
