Our Only Hope?
There are an awful lot of Christians running around saying that electing Ron Paul is “our only hope”. I don’t agree. Aren’t we the folks who say “put not our confidence in princes”. Now listen, Ron Paul is a decent man, I’ve always liked him. He’s against the Fed Res and against the war, he isn’t a power hungry madman like the rest of them. He is a Christian. I’d much rather be governed by him than GW Bush or any of the current canidates seeking the presidency. That said, I’m not overly exited about him running. Those who are big Paul supporters might want to listen to This Interview. I had hopes for Paul, but this interview brought me back to my senses. I don’t have time to waste promoting candidates who don’t respect the Crown Rights of Christ. Christian Libertarianism is not worth 2 cents. When are we going to figure out that God wants our obedience.
I also think people are wasting a lot of time on presidential races. Electing someone to the white house is not going to change anything. Taking back our civil goverment should be a local deal. Lets work on town councils, county offices and our own states first.

While I am not sure I understand everything in your first paragraph, you did hit the nail on the head in the second. If folks started to think locally, and elected solid local politicians, eventually this would matriculate into the national. But I agree we spend too much time worrying about something we can’t control, when there is something they can.

Wow. Do I detect a voice of reason?

My sentiments exactly, Scott!
