Another Reason for Homebirths
Chad’s Latest Post offers yet another reason we have homebirths with a trusted midwife.
This story really hit home with us. Last week we went to the hosptital to visit a new covenant child and her parents. Noah was looking at her “tiny little toes” when he noticed the little ankle bracelet. He demanded to know what that thing on her leg was. I told his it was kind of like an eartag for calves. The babies father said that it was so nobody could steal her. Noah looked puzzled and I said, “I know son, we have lots guns at home so nobody tries stealing our babies.” The nurse looked at me kind of funny. The father then showed Noah his “tag”. Noah asked what that one was for. The father remarked, “so I don’t steal my own baby”. The whole thing had me thinking for days. Then I read this story and all my worst fears were confirmed. Thank the Lord for homebirth midwives.

Amen! I’m with you on this one! What is going on in the world anymore? I seriously don’t sleep at night worrying about my son growing up in this insanity!
