Checkin’ In
Thought I’d take a minute to check in with you all. Things have been busy around here and I haven’t had much blogging time. Yesterday was little John’s 5th birthday. We have been busy freezing broccili and snow peas. The sugar snap peas are next. The first of the green beans are blossoming and soon the great bean harvest will begin. We grow alot of beans. The tomatoes are doing very well on heavy lime and compost. We have sixty some plants and it looks like canner will be running nonstop when they start ripening. We have been getting enough rain to keep the pastures going, and for that I am very thankful. We have had some nice 2 year olds calve in the last week or so. All the new fresh cows make for longer chores at milking time. We were able to buy a new (to us) mower conditioner and round baler a week or so ago. The Lord provided both for less than we planned to spend on just the mower. Last night our congragation had a meeting with a commision from presbytery. Much to my suprise, our church has been divided into two churches. I knew something was up when the sermon was about Paul and Barnabus from Acts 15. Please keep both of our churches in your prayers.
