Defining Christian Agrarianism

This week there has been a bit of conversation going on in the “ABC” about how to define Christian Agrarianism. If I was asked to define Christian Agrarianism, it would be short and simple. When defending agrarianism to other beleivers we only need one resource, the original agrarian handbook….the Bible. What we call “agrarianism” is really the fruit of living the Gospel. By this, I mean really living your life by biblical princibles. Our positions on economics, stewardship, family and goverment are the result of thinking biblicly. It is not that we were “agrarians” first, but rather we became “agrarians” becouse of the Grace of God and His Word/Law. This is important, becouse if we just spend time bending scripture to support our preconcieved ideas, we are no different than those who oppose us. The bible alone defines our positions or we are just another type of modern comprimisers. This puts us in a wonderfull position… Why do you oppose usury?……Becouse God dose :)
Why do you take care of the elderly?…..becouse God says to :)
Lets continue to advance Christ’s Kingdom, call it what you will.

  1. Rural Missourian Says:

You hit it right on the money. Agrarianism is understood by the works that come by true faith in the Gospel of the Kingdom as we love our King and keep His commandments through faithfully keeping covenant with Him. God defined it, not man. All other “agrarianisms” are fallen man’s attempt at stealing the farm for himself.
