		<description>Thanks for taking the time to post this.  The book I'm reading right now by the late Shearings, who homesteaded in Vermont, talks a lot about sugaring and making syrup. They thought that jugs of syrup were better than having cash on hand. Sap was their "Cash crop" that paid most of their bills.</description>
